Best things is that if we want to upgrade better camera their is mod, If we want better battery their is also mod , even Also if we want best gaming processor their is also mods for it.
just by changing #mods in your main board.
The main purpose of this phones is to reduce electronic waste, Reduce repair cost & giving comfort to the users.
This concept was very cool in thinking but still we can not see this phones now , but may be we can see in future.
This type of phones was seen in past few years but that are failed.
At that time the first modular phone is #LG G5 . For this phone
camera , battery & other smaller mods available this mods also called as LG friends.
The second generation of this phone is #motorola #Moto Z2 play which comes with more mods than LG G5.
For best music #stereo speakers mod available For better camera The hanssle blad Camera mod on the back is available.
& also #5G is Available, the mod is Available with 5G antenna ,
So that in 4G phones you can enjoy 5G internet .
The same story of #google #ARA.
companies think that they will earn profit from selling new mods, But this is not happened in practical.
Because consumers wants a full package of full feature phone, they don't want to buy any mods by paying extra charges for it.
Due to that google also failed in modular phones & its Google ARA project.
This concept was very futuristic at that time so mentality of people is different about the modular smartphones.
Engineering & manufacturing is very costly & arrangement of magnets & designs is very difficult task so the modular phones are most costly,
& just because of that interaction of consumers on the modular phones is less.
Companies launches new smartphones every 6 months so that new phones will not able to get market value & peoples wait for new mods or change what ever they want.
So this is not so good for companies.
If we think about durability , The phone is made assemble with magnets so that if phone fall on the earth all the mods get distracted & spread on the surface so this is one of the big problem about modular phones.
